Legal basis: performance of a contract. We use your account, billing and business data to provide you with access to Twende Travel OS, process your subscription, manage your account and deliver the features you use.

Legal basis: legitimate interests. We use anonymised and aggregated usage data to understand how the platform is used, identify areas for improvement and develop new features. This data does not identify you individually.
3.3 To communicate with you
Legal basis: performance of a contract / legitimate interests. We will contact you about your account, subscription, billing, product updates and support matters. We may also send you information about new features or product changes relevant to your subscription.
3.4 Marketing communications
Legal basis: consent. We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in to receive them. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
3.5 Legal compliance
Legal basis: legal obligation. We may process your data where required to comply with applicable laws, tax obligations, or lawful requests from regulatory or law enforcement authorities.
3.6 Security and fraud prevention
Legal basis: legitimate interests. We process certain technical and usage data to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, security threats and unauthorised access to the platform.

We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only in the following circumstances:
4.1 Service providers

Twende Suite is based in Tanzania. Our cloud infrastructure may involve data being processed in data centres outside Tanzania, potentially including within the European Economic Area (EEA) or other jurisdictions.Where we transfer data to countries outside the EEA or Tanzania that do not provide an equivalent level of data protection, we will implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to protect your data.By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in these jurisdictions.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Our standard retention periods are:
• Account and subscription data: retained for the duration of your subscription and for 3 years thereafter for legal and tax compliance purposes.
• Business content (itineraries, client records, etc.): retained while your account is active. Following account closure or cancellation, content is retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
• Billing records: retained for 7 years in accordance with financial record-keeping requirements.
• Usage and technical logs: retained for 12 months.
• Marketing preferences: retained until you withdraw consent.

7. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

10. Children
